Stop 3: Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg

While we are in the UK, we head over to Trump Doonbeg where Christmas in Ireland is brimming with festive cheer - from carol singers to Christmas markets to the warm embrace of a cozy fireside, there is simply nothing like it.

Located on the water’s edge and surrounded by rolling emerald hills, Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg welcomes its guests each holiday season with the magic of Irish charm.  One such Irish tradition is the lit candle in the window. Dating back to early Christianity, the candle lighting in the window was to invite the priest into the house to bless those within. They offer a 'céad míle fáilte' (translated as 'a thousand welcomes') to those who visit their home. Trump Doonbeg carries on this beautiful tradition by lighting candles along the bay window in Trump's Bar & Restaurant. As this is the first window you see on arrival, you know a warm welcome awaits you.

An Irish tradition: Candles lit in the window of a cozy cottage at Trump Doonbeg.

Stop 4: The Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery

We then fly from charming Ireland back to the United States and bring you to the scenic countryside where Trump Winery resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery is an exquisite 26,000-square-foot mansion looking out over 1,300 acres of spectacular terrain. One of the largest vineyards on the East Coast, Trump Winery has a magical spirit in and of itself, and that magic shines even brighter during the holiday season. Known as one of “America’s True Treasures,” guests are invited to enjoy a 45-minute guided tour of the estate while sipping on festive holiday beverages. Among the stunning architecture you will find gorgeous trees and stunning holiday décor at every turn. From carriage rides to the holiday housewarming or a visit to the Albemarle Estate and Tasting Room, the holiday spirit is flowing at Trump Winery.

Stop 5: Trump National Doral

If you’re chilly from December in the northeast, allow us to transport you to Miami where vibrant lights and warm weather are plentiful!

Trump National Doral is one of the most coveted golf resorts anywhere in the country. Home of the legendary Blue Monster course which has hosted the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and countless more, it is a property with an amazing history and spirit. From hosting major professional championships to iconic holiday festivities, everything that the team does at Trump Doral is bold, exciting, and executed with tremendous passion. This year, our talented Pastry Team led by John Luciano created a masterpiece inspired by our favorite vehicle…the golf cart.

The Trump Doral Gingerbread Golf Cart took 8 pastry chefs and over 3 weeks to complete and stage. It is complemented by edible golf balls that have become a huge hit across the property. The Gingerbread Golf Cart was just unveiled at the official tree lighting which is an event filled with music, treats and fun for the entire family.

Stop 6: Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago

A quick hop, skip and a jump to our next property, Trump Hotel Chicago, where the city is truly a winter wonderland. Adorned twinkling lights, soaring Christmas trees and bustling crowds - you will leave feeling merry and bright.

Standing tall at 92 stories, Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has paved the way for some of the most beloved holiday traditions in our company – starting with the iconic Gingerbread Express. Originating in 2010, the Gingerbread Express is an elevator that travels up to the hotel’s contemporary American restaurant, Terrace 16, decked in everyone’s favorite holiday indulgences – gingerbread, candy canes, sweet treats and beyond. The craftsmanship and work that goes into creating the Gingerbread Express is remarkable, requiring 446 pounds of flour and taking more than 450 hours to create. The end result is simply amazing and one that has become a must-see attraction.

In addition to the elegant décor, gingerbread express, River North Pole Event – Trump Chicago also launched for the very first time a Gingerbread Holiday Pop Up Shop which offers signature holiday spiced cookies and festive treats carefully crafted by our Executive Pastry Chef, Roberto Hernandez. The amazing part is that all proceeds will benefit the Children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There is no better feeling than spreading joy and giving back, especially during the holiday season.
