The energy was palpable at Trump National Washington D.C. over Memorial Day Weekend with fans coming out in droves from Thursday through Sunday. The star-studded event broke records with Washington D.C. being the highest attended of any LIV Golf event in the United States. LIV Golf D.C. was the seventh event of the season and the second tournament in the Trump Golf calendar who will also host three additional tournaments in the next five months.

“I am incredibly proud of our team. Trump D.C. truly shined, everything about this event was flawless. The course was impeccable and the fans were amazing. We are truly honored to have been a part of this record-breaking event. We set the bar very high in Washington D.C and look forward to welcoming LIV Golf back to Trump National Bedminster and Trump National Doral in a few weeks,” said Eric Trump.

This was the first time LIV Golf experienced Trump National Washington D.C. and it exceeded all expectations. The event kicked off on Thursday with a Pro-Am which included President Donald Trump and his son, Eric Trump, who played with Patrick Reed of the 4 Aces.

The conditions for all three days of the event could not have been better. The Championship Course at Trump National was built for world-class tournament golf and did not disappoint. The feedback from players and fans was outstanding!

Bryson DeChambeau visited the media center and shared the following remarks, “It's a great golf course. It's a long golf course, right on the water. It's pretty special. You get some wind. Those holes around the water are very difficult. I think it’s 11 this week, they're playing the right green, which is diabolical, so I'm looking forward to seeing how people are going to play that. But it's a very, very beautiful, esthetically beautiful golf course.”

Charles Howell III also had this to say about Trump National Washington D.C. previewing the days ahead, “The course is fantastic. The condition of it couldn't be better. It's incredible, with the views of the Potomac and whatnot. But like Bryson said, it's going to be a heck of a test. Some of the easy holes are fairly easy, and some of the hard holes are really hard. That's kind of what you want in a tournament golf course for scoring disparity, and it should be a good week.”

After three days of watching the best in the world battle it out, it was Harold Varner III of the Range Goats GC that brought home the win with a final birdie. A win made even more special for Varner as this was his first win on American soil—to top it off, in front of the largest crowd to attend a LIV Golf Tournament in the US. Torque GC claimed the Team Title for the second time this season beating the South African Stinger GC by three shots with the Range Goats taking third.

Congratulations to Harold Varner III and Team Torque GC!
