Trump National Bedminster Hosts Second LIV Golf Tournament
An action-packed weekend unfolded at Trump National Bedminster as LIV Golf returned for its second tournament at the award-winning golf club.
The Trump Organization announced today the sale of Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park to Bally’s Corporation, which will assume the operation and management of the property effective immediately.
We would like to thank the City of New York for giving us the opportunity to develop and operate Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park... After the City wasted hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money in its prior failed attempts to complete this project, at the request of Mayor Bloomberg and the NYC Parks Department, The Trump Organization delivered to the people of the City of New York what has been widely recognized as one of the most magnificent public golf experiences anywhere in the world.
Under The Trump Organization’s leadership, the golf course was completed in less than two years, followed by the construction of a state-of-the-art clubhouse. In addition to supporting many local businesses and employing hundreds of New Yorkers annually, Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park has, year after year, received some of golf’s highest accolades, including “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” (Golf Digest), “Best New Courses” (Golf Digest), “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” (Golf.com), “Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the United States” (GolfWeek), “Best State-by-State Courses You can Play” (GolfWeek) and many more.
While we had no prior intention of selling this trophy asset, Bally’s Corporation stepped in and made us an exceptional offer. We wish them tremendous luck and are confident that Bally’s will continue to operate this exceptional facility in the same world-class manner.
The Trump Organization successfully opened Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park in 2015, featuring an 18-hole links style Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. In 2016, the company unveiled a spectacular 20,000 square foot clubhouse designed by noted architectural firm, Hart-Howerton, creating one of the most spectacular tournament-quality public golf experiences in the world.
